Optional: you may brown meatballs in a hot skillet before you bake them.
Nice flavor, less bake time, but not needed.
For Onion Mushroom Sauce, mix:
♦ 1 can French Onion Soup (undiluted)
♦ 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup (undiluted)
For Barbecue Sauce, mix:
♦ ½ cup catsup
♦ 1 Tblsp. mustard
♦ ½ cup brown sugar
♦ 1 cup water
♦ Transfer meatballs to casserole dish or baking pan in a single layer.
♦ Pour sauce over meatballs.
♦ Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Bake time depends on size of meatballs, don’t over bake.
~ Don’t use really lean meat or the meatballs will be dry. ~ In a hurry? You don’t have to brown the meatballs. ~ Serve over buttered noodles or mashed potatoes. ~ Larger meatballs make a meal, smaller ones are good for appetizers.
