Event Details
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League has always supported missions in our community and the world. Throughout the years, mite boxes have graced many a table or countertop in countless Lutheran homes and offices.
Mite donations finance the various mission grants of the LWML. Since the LWML’s founding in 1942, over 100 million dollars have been gathered to spread the Gospel message. Now, there is the opportunity to support this ongoing work through the LWML’s TEE UP 4 MITES seventh biennial Golf Charity Outing to be held June 21st, 2023 prior to the 40th Biennial LWML Convention on June 22–25, 2023, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The picturesque championship course of Western Lakes Golf Club in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, will be the setting for a morning four-person, men and women scramble event. 6:30 check in with breakfast and 7:30 shotgun start. 12:30 awards lunch.
Sponsored by Lutheran Hour Ministries. $100 donation entry fee. All the net proceeds will be given in a giant mite box during the LWML convention and will go toward missions to support spreading the gospel message.

Become a Volunteer Ombudsman for Long Term Care Residents
The Board on Aging and Long Term Care is recruiting volunteers in North Eastern Wisconsin. Volunteer Ombudsmen, come from all walks of life, are carefully screened, trained, and receive ongoing support and supervision from the area Volunteer Coordinator.
Volunteer Ombudsmen make a difference in the lives of nursing home residents by:
- Advocating for residents
- Being a Voice for residents
- Educating residents, families and staff about Residents Rights
- Empowering the residents to speak for themselves
- Listening to the residents
- Acting as the “eyes and ears” of the Regional Ombudsman
Volunteer Ombudsmen are a valuable resource for residents and their efforts are respected.
Volunteer Ombudsmen give their time and energy to help give residents a sense of security. Residents look forward to the Volunteer Ombudsman’s weekly visits. Those weekly visits bring smiles to the faces of residents, and to the faces of the Volunteer Ombudsmen! For more information please call:
