  • CourseMain Dish
Ingredients
  • One round loaf of focaccia – bake it, buy it, ‘flavors’ are good!
  • Swiss cheese, sliced
  • deli turkey, sliced
  • crisp bacon strips
  • sweet or red onion, sliced thin
  • tomatoes, sliced
  • cranberry mustard (see note below)
Instructions
  1. * No Cranberry Mustard? Mix Cranberry Relish with Spicy Honey Mustard. Not just for this sandwich, could be the next best condiment you discover this summer!
  2. ♦ Slice focaccia (to make a large bun).
  3. ♦ Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
♦ Split the layers, and warm side by side on a baking sheet, 10- 15 minutes, until warm and edges are slightly crisp.
♦ Immediately, arrange cheese slices over bottom ½ of warm bread.
♦ Add turkey, bacon, tomato, and onion.
♦ Generously spread ‘top’ ½ of bread with cranberry mustard.
♦ Pop on the top, cut into wedges and ENJOY!
Terri's Notes

~ Madeline bakes her own Rosemary Focaccia. You can make your own or buy it - rosemary or any herb flavor, asiago cheese was good…experiment.
~ Individual sandwiches made on warm Ciabatta rolls.
~ Pre-cooked bacon (purchased on sale), crisped in the micro-wave is perfect for this sandwich.
~  Not a Swiss fan?  I liked muenster.  You can get creative!
