Ingredients
  • 12 ounces blue cheese crumbled
  • 4 ounces butter softened
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 egg beaten
  • ½ cup walnuts chopped
Instructions
  1. Combine cheese, butter, flour and water into a soft dough. If mixture is too sticky, add a little more flour; if too crumbly, add water.
  2. Roll dough into two logs about 1 ½ inches in diameter. Brush logs with beaten eggs and roll in chopped walnuts. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate at least one hour.
  3. Heat oven to 350 F.
  4. Unwrap logs, slice 1/3 inch thick. Bake on parchment paper lined cookie sheet for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Serve warm or cold.
