Ingredients
  • 8 large eggs
  • 6 slices bread remove crust, tear into pieces
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 2 cups milk
  • 4 - 4 oz. cans chopped green chiles
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack cheese shredded
  • black pepper and paprika to season
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, beat eggs slightly.
  2. Add bread, butter, milk, green chiles and cheese.
  3. Mix together.
  4. Pour into a 13X9 inch buttered, baking dish.
  5. Cover with Saran and refrigerate overnight.
  6. To bake:
  7. Uncover the dish. Sprinkle with pepper and paprika to season.
  8. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour, until puffed and golden brown.
  9. Let stand for 5-10 minutes before cutting.
  10. Serve with a side of salsa and sour cream.
Terri's Notes

~ Great for breakfast, brunch or a side dish.
~ Can use ½ Monterey Jack and ½ Cheddar cheese
~ Remember to put ‘cold’ dish into a cold oven so the dish won’t crack.
