Ingredients
  • 2 cups boiling water salted
  • 1 large potato diced
  • 1/2 cup carrot diced
  • 1/2 cup celery diced
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 12 oz. sharp cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 ounce – 6.5can tuna or leftover ham, chopped
  • 1 - 8 ounce can cream style corn
  • pinch aof dried rosemary
  • a few drops of hot sauce or a few shakes of cayenne
Instructions
  1. In small saucepan, boil veggies in water 10 minutes (don't drain)
  2. In 2 quart sauce pan, melt butter and whisk in flour
  3. Gradually stir in milk, stir until thickened
  4. Add shredded cheese and stir till melted
  5. Add veggies and liquid, also tuna or ham, creamed corn, rosemary and a few drops hot sauce.
Terri's Notes

Can serve immediately. Great with warm crusty bread!
