Ingredients
  • 5 quarts popped corn
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup butter
  • cups brown sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ tsp. baking soda
Instructions
  1. Spread popped corn in 2 9X13 inch baking pans. Put into a 250 degree oven to keep warm.
  2. In a sauce pan, combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt (everything but the soda).
  3. Stir, over medium heat until boiling. Boil for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda. (it will foam up)
  5. Pour caramel evenly over popped corn and stir to mix.
  6. Return to oven and bake 45-50 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Spread on waxed paper to cool, then break up.
  8. Store in an air tight container.
